Since aviation already fascinated me as a child, I joined our local glider flying school already at the age of 16. During my high school time I financed my flying lessons with homework supervision of younger students. Later, my salary as a Swiss customs officer allowed me to continue my pilot education on power planes.

In March 2002 my dream finally came true and I was employed as a First officer on the Gulfstream 200. After the company ceased its flight operation in February 2003, I found a new challenge as a C525 pilot. In addition I worked for the company ExecuJet Europe at the airport in Zurich, Switzerland, as a member of the dispatch team, which manages worldwide 25 aircrafts under full management contracts.

In June 2006 I achieved the type rating for the trijet Falcon 900EX/DX/LX EASy. I worked for Swiss Global Jet Management in Zurich, where I was also responsible for the dispatch of our short and long range fleet as the Director of ground operations. Since 2008 I was responsible for the Dispatch training of ExecuJet Europe, where I continued to fly missions on the Falcon 900. Since 2011 I have been employed as a full time pilot by IJM in Vienna.

I dedicate my free time on the ground to classical music. With the violin I sometimes help out in different amateur orchestras. On my Steinway Grand Piano S-155 I enjoy first-class piano lessons with Dmitri Demiashkin, of whose Russian piano school I am the manager. Additionally I am the director of a classical concert series. As Audio Engineer I record concerts as well as studio music.
